Running your business
for yourself but not by yourself

As a member of the Auditel network, we will fully support you throughout your career. To do this, we have built one of the most comprehensive programmes of ongoing personal and professional development in the UK franchise industry. All of our training and ongoing professional development workshops are included in your membership fees, even those developed after you have joined the Auditel network.

Our support team consists of trainers, mentors and development staff who will work with you to ensure you have the skills and tools you need to achieve the objectives you set for your Auditel business.

Life-long training and professional development

When you join Auditel, it’s important to understand that the learning process never stops. Our consultants continue to develop their expertise and skills throughout their careers, as our markets change and our opportunities evolve. This expertise and knowledge is shared between colleagues in the network through a variety of tools in the Auditel business system.

The first, and most important knowledge-sharing tool, is the initial training course. This consists of two five-day residential courses held at our offices in Winchester. The first of these relates to client acquisition and management and the second covers all the technical aspects of our business. Both are run by practising Auditel consultants to ensure that what you learn is totally up-to-date and relevant. Expect to work very hard during these two weeks: there’s a lot to take in and you’ll be actively participating in classroom exercises and case studies.

To complement your initial training you will be given a full set of manuals containing advice and guidance on all aspects of the Auditel business system. These are also available as online resources in the Auditel Information System (AIS).

Further, lifelong training and professional development is delivered in a variety of ways, including additional workshops, online tutorials, supplier training days, Regional and Local Meetings and the annual national conference.

Business planning and personal development

One of the most important traits of successful entrepreneurs is the ability to set goals and move into action to achieve those goals. It is no different for Auditel franchisees. If you want to build a successful business that meets your career, income and lifestyle aspirations, it’s absolutely vital that you have a clear and well-thought out business plan as well as a set of measurable personal objectives.

The Auditel personal development programme has been designed to help you do just that. As well as business planning and management tools, our Support and Business Development Managers will work with you to design a personalised programme of telephone and one-to-one mentoring to ensure you stay on track and meet your objectives.

Support and mentoring

One of Auditel’s main strengths as a business is our ethos of mutual support and information exchange. As well as designated mentors and technical experts on hand to give specific help and advice, we have a number of tools and forums for consultants to share their experiences and knowledge. Auditel consultants come from a wide range of industry and professional backgrounds. Some of our franchisees have previous consulting experience, some have relevant industry knowledge. They usually have senior management or director level experience but this is not strictly necessary: one of our current franchisees was a professional musician before joining Auditel, another couple, who operate their franchise together, were hoteliers.
